A Day in the Life of a Tribunal Panel Member

Lay Members sit in the Tribunals, which are specialist judicial bodies which decide disputes in a particular area of law. They listen to the evidence in a tribunal, question parties and witnesses where appropriate and take an equal part in the decisions made by their tribunal but are advised on points of law by the tribunal judge who chairs the panel.
