Practice Direction from the SPT: Panel composition in the Employment Tribunals and Employment Appeal Tribunal

The Senior President of Tribunals today publishes a practice direction regarding the composition of the Employment Tribunals and Employment Appeal Tribunal.
This follows the publication in July of a draft practice direction, and an earlier consultation. The final practice direction differs from the draft only in the addition of a second sentence to paragraph 6. It takes effect from 29 October 2024.
The final practice direction can be found below, along with joint presidential guidance issued by the President of Employment Tribunals (Scotland) and the President of Employment Tribunals (England and Wales).
