Practice Direction of the Employment Appeal Tribunal 2024

The President of the Employment Appeal Tribunal (EAT) has published a Practice Direction explaining the tribunal’s procedures and procedural requirements.

Made with the approval of the Senior President of Tribunals and the Lord Chancellor under section 29A of the Employment Tribunals Act 1996, it applies to all appeals commenced on or after 1 February 2025, and to those commenced before that date for steps that take place on or after it.

It amends and replaces the EAT Practice Direction 2023.
